It all began when Haley Burchett found a clogging class hosted by Minot Public Schools in April of 2014. She decided it was time to bring clogging to Minot. Originally from Kentucky, Haley is no stranger to flat footin' as they call it in the "hills". "Where I come from, it is almost as if you are born knowing how to clog; it blew my mind that almost everyone I talked to in Minot had never even heard of the dance style, nor had anyone ever seen it!" Haley found a previously flooded, dilapidated spot in the basement of The Heritage Place building located on South Main Street in downtown Minot. She completely renovated the space and transformed it into a dance studio in July of 2014. Magic Tap Clogging Studio opened its' doors officially in September 2014, when they hosted their open house. Since then, they have performed at various venues locally in Minot. Norsk Hostfest, Minot Street Fair, The Lions Club, etc.
