DAKOTA DRIFTERS
This quartet was originally made up of Dick and Brenda Johnson from the Turtle Mountains and Carl Kannianen from Stanley and Toby Nelson from Minot. Tragically and unexpectantly we lost our long-time friend and drummer Toby Nelson in February. Mutual friend Kevin Ternes has so graciously stepped up to help us out. Dick plays guitar and handles most of the vocals, wife Brenda on the standup bass, Carl Kannianen on lead guitar and Kevin Ternes on the drums. They will be playing Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash songs and including a few Norwegian jokes to keep things lively. So, if you like classic country and Chet Atkins, you’ll enjoy hearing this group perform.
